What are the consequences if a JW files for an unscriptural divorce?

in january my wife separated from me, because she views me as an apostate (to make the story short).. at that time the elders explained to us, that the bible doesn't approve of such a separation.

i heard from my mother in law, that my wife finally wants to divorce.

(when i think of how my wife treated me the last year i actually want a divorce too).. now my question to you:.

Daniel1555... If my ex said that, wow, he WAS human after all. He was a psychopath. He had no feelings.

To answer your question, if my ex was kind and gentlemanly to me, decades ago, and let me be free, I could have spent my life smiling and being happy because I was happy. Instead, I spent my life with a plastic smile, pretending I was married to the most wonderful man in the world. I could not have coped with the reality otherwise.

-----> If my ex wanted to pretend he had done the deed with someone else, who am I to question?

I have asked my Talk Therapist what should I say if people want to know a "bit" about my history?

She said, "You two tried to make it work, it didn't, so you got divorced" Easy pisey . End of subject.

I said "But I was married for 40 years. How does that sentence compute that we "tried" to make it work... and it didn't?"

She said, " LoisLane , you are the only one that knows you were married to one person for 40 years. Other people will think you probably have been married several times. Nothing new about that".

OK. Case closed.

Those are the words my Elder of 40 years, said after I outed him at our home to 2 elder's.

Together we walked the elder's to our door.

After the door closed, and gave the men time to walk away, my ex turned to me and said,

"There will be consequences". (LOL -----> now)

My words to him, thought of today, as I am out of his firing line are, "GO TO HELL SUPREME ASSHOLE!!!

He was asexual. He won't be committing a sexual act to free me.

I wanted to be good and live in paradise so bad, that I would not commit a JW sin to free myself.

Now, I understand we all have just this life and we are the ones in the driver's seat. Not WT.

-----> My 2 cents. What happens to you and your wife all depends on your Elders. If they like you, they will give you a Get Out of WT Jail Free card, even several... What the heck?

If they do not like you they will DF you in a New York minute.

A number of times we would have the DO or CO out at a restaurant with us.

When my ex would defer to them to say prayer , almost always, they would say,

"Out in public, we each say our own silent prayer". lol

They didn't want to look weird, either! lol

Oh, come on somebody!

Who lives around me?

Let's go out for dinner, doesn't matter how many people join us,

and say prayer , out loud, lol

And I'll say hallelujah at the end... Real loud.

Oh... Let's all wear any old JW convention badge, so we can give all the credit to WT... lol

But let's not stiff the waiter. That is not nice.

As a parent, did you ever have a swimming pool and invite neighbor kids?

being 4th generation, i realize that am socially stunted, in regard to those that are not jws.

i am forging ahead and endeavoring to build a life outside of jw's.

i am trying as i can to socialize my child to make friends and be a normal kid.

We had a swimming pool in our back yard. The rules were if you went out in service in the morning, you were invited over for the afternoon.

We had lots of fun, lots of BBQ's, lots of parties. The only part I didn't like, was when I was a little girl, and people would come over and walk around the pool and gaze into the water and say, "But how safe is the water for children?" I never clicked in that this was my mom's cue she was waiting for to push me into the deep end, even in winter, unheated water, fully clothed, with leather shoes on. I would struggle to the top and make my way out, smiling of course, anything else was not acceptable. I guess the part I didn't hear was her probably telling the parents, as I was trying not to drown in sometimes freezing water, "Always make sure your children know how to swim... "

My 8th grade class was invited over. My dad helped the boys to make old fashioned crank style , ice cream.

I don't know how long your outdoor swimming season is but I wish you joy, fun and lots of happy memories.

I would definitely vote yes for a swimming pool.

i was alone at the new branch construction site in ticuantepe (nicaragua).

everybody had taken off for a weekend assembly in the capital and it was my turn to have watchman duty and guard the site.

we had dogs and i only had to walk around the perimeters and check all the gates and entrances.. suddenly a young boy appeared at the main gate, breathless and visibly nervous.

I wonder what the normal people think of JW's? The dead person's work mates and neighbors that come, besides relatives that are not JW and hear really, nothing said about the dead one.

Looking back at those unemotional informercial memorials/funerals, how did WT/JW/GB treat us? They treated us like we were just good for nothing slaves.

Dead you say ? Too bad. Recruit another person we can turn into our free labor drone's.

Is this new donation arrangement for real?

just read a post on jwsurvey about the new donation arrangement.

congregations are to pledge a monthly amount to be sent to the society to fund the building of assembly halls and kingdom halls.

congregations who already have a loan from the society will no longer have to pay back the loan but the amount pledged should not be less than the current monthly repayments to the society.

It hasn't been 2 years since I understood that I will die. So much has happened during that time. My sister died 9 months ago. I wake up and I think she is not here anymore to experience this beautiful day. I will never see her again. Her husband still thinks he will see her in the JW belief of a resurrection back to earth. The latest Watchtower of will you be able to marry your loved one again... Is so Watch- tarded !

I so want to have grandchildren. It makes me think what was the point of living? Of the agony? Of the struggle if I do not? To me the point of living means children and grandchildren and love and happiness and family. When you do not have those things, what do you have?

I am sorry for the young 20 year old boy who died. Watch Tower lied to his family and WT lies for their own gains. He is dead and gone.

Everything dies. I am happier to know the real truth. I can take it. It was hard, but not impossible to accept.

I try hard now, not to waste what precious time, counting down, that I have. As a person thinking I was going to live forever, all my desires were put on hold for what I was brainwashed to believe was a higher and nobler cause. Wrong, and I have to live with that.

Had an argument with my wife about tinkerbell :(

one of my co workers mother made my 4 year old a blanket with the disney character tinkerbell on it.

as soon as i got it i knew trouble lay ahead.

i wanted to reason with her before my daughter saw it so as not to cause a disruption, but it didn't work out that way.

dogon ... During prayer at the KHall back in the 1970's, I looked down at the boys summertime shirts standing in front of me. The boy's shirts were a print with all Egyptian pagan images on them.

Totally an " untheocratic " pattern! I showed my ex, an Elder. He just shrugged his shoulders.

The father of the boys grew-up to go in the circuit work with his wife. Hi John!

The oldest boy, got his JW girlfriend pregnant. Her uncle was a JW District Overseer. Her Uncle actually came out and married them! Hi Wayne!

Hi Joe Grundy, I want you to know that I value your opinion, especially since you have never been a JW.

I was born in, and surrounded by JDumism my entire life.

I really haven't gotten to know normal people, without witnessing to them, and that is not going to be any kind of a normal interaction between adults.

You and jgnat present logical and sound thinking, without it being filtered through any type of pre-existing WT twisted sayings.

There are a few more that were never JW's that post, and all of your comments are appreciated and listened to.

JW's are, sweet little abused sheep, for the most part. This excludes GB and other high ups that are in for their ego's etc.

Thank you Joe for taking the time to follow what WT/GB is up to, and caring.
